Social Studies Unit Plan Reflection

At first glance, the unit plan was intense. My mind was all over the place, terrified after looking at the template. However, as the weeks passed, we were given more class time to work on these unit plans as a group. The thing that helped the most was having the instructor, a guest speaker, and our fellow classmates circle the room and offer suggestions for the unit plan. It helped to clear things up, prior to creating our individual lesson plans. My group created a Google Doc, with the template added to it, so that we all had a copy to refer back to. This helped when seeing what we were expected to add to each individual lesson plan. Not to say that it was easy by any means, but it definitely helped conducting it this way, and made it quicker and more efficient for when we had to write them out. I also really like the template we were asked to fill out for the lesson plans. It is not the traditional Brock template that we used during our block placement or for our other classes. This template was much more straight forward, and made creating the lesson plans less stressful. Overall, I am happy with the result.
